Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 May 2026
1. Who we are
"Talverra," "we," and "us" refer to the operator of the Talverra app and the talverra.app website (the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Talverra. If you're between 13 and 18, you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. What the Service does
Talverra is a tool to help you organize your bills, track your spending, set budgets, and plan around your money. Specifically:
- You enter your bills and the app reminds you when they're due.
- You enter your balance and income; the app calculates "safe to spend" and other projections.
- You set goals; the app tracks progress.
- Optional paid tiers (Plus, Premium, Founder) unlock additional features like unlimited bills, bank linking, insights, and reporting.
4. What the Service is NOT
- Not a bank. We don't hold your money. The "balance" you see in Talverra is a number you typed.
- Not a financial advisor. Any tips, recommendations, or projections shown in the app are general organizational suggestions, not personalized financial advice. Consult a licensed financial professional for actual financial advice.
- Not investment advice. If we surface stock or market information, it's for general context — it's not a recommendation to buy or sell.
- Not an accountant. Any tax-related features ("plan for taxes," business mode) are organizational. We don't file or prepare your taxes.
5. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you sign in with Apple or Google, you're trusting that those providers' security keeps your account safe.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself.
- Keep your password (or your Apple/Google account) secure.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access (support@talverra.app).
- Not share your account with another person.
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account & Security → Delete account. When you do, we hard-delete your bills, settings, and onboarding answers. See section 6 of our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Subscriptions, billing, refunds
6.1 Free tier
The Free tier lets you track up to 10 active bills. There's no time limit, no card required.
6.2 Plus and Premium tiers
Plus and Premium unlock additional features (unlimited bills, bank linking, insights, exports, etc.). New users get a 30-day free trial of Plus with no card required.
6.3 Founder Lock-In
The first 1,000 users to subscribe to Premium are eligible for a price-locked $99/year rate that does not change on renewal. The lock-in is tied to your subscription remaining continuously active — if your subscription lapses, the lock-in is lost.
6.4 Billing is handled by the App Store
All paid subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or (in the future) Google Play. We never receive your card number or billing information. When you subscribe:
- Apple or Google charges your account.
- RevenueCat (our subscription-management service) tells us your entitlement is active.
- The app unlocks the corresponding features.
6.5 Cancellations
You can cancel a subscription at any time:
- On iOS: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Talverra → Cancel Subscription.
- On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Talverra.
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. The subscription doesn't renew after that.
6.6 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We don't process refunds ourselves. To request a refund:
- iOS: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Android: play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory.
That said, if you feel you've been charged unfairly, email support@talverra.app and we'll do what we can to help on our side.
7. Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to break, exploit, reverse-engineer, or extract source code from the app.
- Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Bypass any rate limit, anti-abuse, or security measure.
- Submit content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Resell, rebrand, or commercially redistribute the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Your content
You own the information you put into Talverra (bills, goals, balances, notes). You grant us a limited license to store and display that information to you (and only you) as required to operate the Service. We don't claim any ownership over your data.
9. Our content
Talverra's name, logo, design, code, written content, and brand assets are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not use them outside of Talverra without our written permission.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about:
- Whether the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always accurate.
- Whether the projections, calculations, or insights it produces will be correct or beneficial for your specific situation.
- Whether the Service will meet your particular needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talverra is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or any other intangible loss, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim — or $50, whichever is greater.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.
We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would expose us to material risk.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE_PLACEHOLDER], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [STATE_PLACEHOLDER], and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
[STATE_PLACEHOLDER] will be replaced with the appropriate U.S. state before public launch. Talverra's counsel will pick the right jurisdiction based on incorporation status.]
14. Changes to these Terms
We can update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you in the app and you'll be asked to acknowledge the new version before continuing to use the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page is always the source of truth.
